Vinson Michael DiSanto

DO, PhD, CCN, CAFCI, BBEC

Having spent 34 years in practice, Dr. Vinson DiSanto has experimented in both conventional and alternative medicine, focusing on systems biology, lifestyle medicine, osteopathic and traditional medicine.  He is a Doctor of Acupuncture, and holds a PhD in traditional/Oriental Medicine. 

His areas of expertise include oriental medicine, clinical nutrition, environmental medicine, homeopathy, Ayurveda, acupuncture, laser therapy, Chelation therapy, Functional Medicine, and Bariatric Medicine; and is currently specializing in anti-aging, rejuvenation, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, nutrition, and lifestyle optimization.

He studied in Sri Lanka, San Francisco, California, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, attending the University of Pennsylvania’s Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. 

He worked as an Emergency Room Physician, Clinical Director, and Occupational Medical Physician for the Vista, Eureka, and Arcata regions of California.  

Dr. DiSanto served the country through the Air National Guard branch of the military for 8 years, and is the former Chief Medical Officer of the Federal Bureau of Prisons.  He was also a member of the Task Force for Emergency Preparedness for the 1996 Olympic Games.

He holds licenses in over 33 states, including Hawaii, Idaho, South Carolina, Indiana, Florida, and Colorado.  He is certified by the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada, the American Board of Anti-aging Medicine, and is a Diplomat with the American Academy of Classical Homeopathy.

Dr. DiSanto stays current by attending, for more than the last 16 years, more than 40 conferences and educational events throughout the US, with subject matter ranging, among many topics, from medical challenges for families, the latest in nutritional advances, to bioterrorism, and electro-dermal screenings.
